*Check-in will open at 5.15am on 8 January, 2017. Simply head to the check-in tents at the Queensland Maritime Museum to collect your bib and timing tag.
*All children aged 5 years and under are free to participate with their parents in the 9km or 6km events and do not need to register.
Bib and Timing Tag Collection
All event bibs and timing tags can be collected in one of two ways;
Option 1* - Pre-race day collection - Friday Jan 6 (2-5pm only) or Saturday Jan 7 (9am-12 noon only) at InTraining Running Store, 33 Park Rd, Milton.
Option 2 - Collect your bib and timing chip when checking in at the registration desk on the day of your event.
*We strongly recommend collecting your bib and timing tag early if possible as this will reduce the need to line up on event day.
This area will be staffed throughout the course of the Resolution Run, however participants are advised not to leave any items of value at the bag storage tent. Simply remove your 'bag storage' tag from your bib and attach it to your bag (rubber bands provided at the event). Please note that the only person who can collect a bag from this area is the person with a bib that matches the bag tag number.
Distance markers will be used at the Resolution Run.
Drink stations will be available for 6km & 9km categories, plus free access to water at the start/finish area for all participants. All finishers in the 1km, 6km & 9km will receive water, fruit and medals after passing through the finish line.
Course Maps - new courses in 2017!
Participants in the 6km and 9km categories will begin in the Queensland Maritime Museum and begin their run out the rear gates of the complex in the direction of Kangaroo Point. After exiting the Maritime Museum you will take a sharp right hand turn in order to travel up and around the Museum. Once on the Clem Jones Promenade follow the path to the Victoria Rd Bridge. Go up the spiral path and onto the bridge. On the city side of the river turn left and down the ramp to the shared bikeway. Run or walk towards the Go Between Bridge. When entering the Bridge all participants will be guided by course marshals to use the paths only (no stairs). Go over the bridge and turn left once on the other side where you will be greeted by our drink station team. Contine along the South bank board walk towards the Victoria Rd Bridge. At this point 6km runners simply continue straight towards the Maritime Museum where they finish, 9km runners do a second lap of the Victoria and Go Bewteen Bridge sections before heading back towards the finish line. See maps below for further details.
The 1km Multicap category (6am) and 1km kids category (7.30am) starts and finishes at the Maritime Museum (same as other categories) but the entire course is on the 'South Bank' side of the river. See course map below. Parents may run with their children if they would like at no charge.

We recommend spending at least some time training for the Resolution Run. Whether you are a walker or a runner, any time spent preparing for the event you will be grateful for in January.
Your training should focus on building your cardiovascular fitness. Activities including cycling, swimming, hiking, kayaking, aerobics...and the list goes on, all help to improve your hearts ability to function and essentially cope with the demands of a running/walking event like the Resolution Run.
In the case of an emergency, please assist your fellow runners and/or walkers. Please make use of either the lead or trail cyclists, course marshals or drink stations attendants who can contact the First Aid staff who will be stationed at the start/finish area.
